Norway requires students to prove they can cover their living costs. At the time of writing the subsistence requirement is at least NOK 15,488 per month, which works out to roughly NOK 170,368 for a full academic year; if you study for a single semester there are specific per-semester amounts.

These funds can come from student loans or grants, your own money held in a Norwegian bank or the institution's deposit account, income from a part-time job you have already been offered, or a combination.
