Family members apply as your dependants and their permits are tied to yours. Accompanying partners normally receive the right to work, and children can attend school.

As the main permit holder you also have ongoing conditions: maintaining a Danish address, registering in the Civil Registration System (CPR), not staying outside Denmark beyond the allowed period without permission, and not relying on means-tested public benefits. You are also entitled to free Danish language lessons, which can help toward later permanent residence.
