Can I switch to a work permit if I find a job during this permit?

A key advantage of this route is that it lets you apply for a work permit from within Sweden once you secure a qualifying offer, instead of having to leave and reapply from abroad.

You are also permitted to start working while your work-permit application is being decided. If your aim is to start a company instead, you can apply for a self-employment residence permit on the same in-country basis.
