Who can apply for the Malta Startup Residence Programme?

The programme targets third-country nationals who are founders, co-founders or core employees of innovative startups and scale-ups, and who genuinely intend to develop or expand their business in Malta. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Some nationalities are excluded - applicants from Afghanistan, North Korea, Iran, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Yemen and Venezuela are not eligible. The qualifying enterprise must have been registered for no more than seven years anywhere in the world, and must not be the result of a merger or a takeover of another company.
