Who qualifies for the International Sportsperson visa - athletes or coaches?

The route covers elite athletes and qualified coaches who are internationally established at the highest level. The aim is to bring in people whose presence genuinely develops their sport in the UK.

A key feature is that the sport's recognised governing body must endorse you, confirming you meet that elite standard and that your role contributes to developing the sport. Without that governing body endorsement, you cannot use this route.
