You can come for a maximum of 12 months, or the time on your certificate of sponsorship plus up to 28 days, whichever is shorter.
The Creative Worker visa is a short-term route. Your stay is capped at 12 months, but if your certificate of sponsorship covers a shorter period you only get that period plus a buffer of up to 28 days.
If your engagement runs longer, you can apply to extend in the UK so long as your total stay stays within the rules for the route. Talk to your sponsor about timing your certificate so it matches your actual contract dates.
