It is for non-EU nationals admitted to full-time study at a Bulgarian higher education institution, or pupils in an approved secondary exchange programme.
The student residence permit is aimed at third-country nationals who have been accepted into full-time education at a recognised Bulgarian university, academy or institute. Pupils admitted for upper-secondary education under an exchange programme can also qualify.
You will need to evidence your admission, typically a certificate of enrolment and proof that course fees have been paid, along with the standard requirements of accommodation, health insurance and sufficient means. Part-time or informal study generally does not meet the bar, so confirm your programme is full-time before relying on this route.
