Who counts as a family member for family reunification in Slovakia?

Family reunification residence is for relatives of a person who already lawfully resides in Slovakia on temporary or permanent residence. The core family members are the spouse and dependent minor children.

For a spouse to qualify, both partners generally must be at least 18 years old. Certain other dependent relatives may qualify in limited circumstances, but the spouse-and-children case is the standard one.
