Do I always need to show proof of funds for Express Entry?

Proof of funds shows you have enough money to settle in Canada. The Express Entry system asks all applicants to provide a proof of funds document by default.

You do not need to prove settlement funds if you were invited under the Canadian Experience Class, or if you have a valid job offer and authorization to work in Canada. In those cases you upload a letter explaining the exemption instead of bank statements. The required amount otherwise depends on your family size.
