The scientific research residence permit is built around a hosting agreement with an approved research organisation, such as a university, public research institution, or a body on the Ministry of Education's accredited list. This agreement is mandatory and evidences your research project.
The organisation must also provide a written commitment to cover certain costs connected to your stay if they arise after your permit expires. Without a valid hosting agreement from an accredited organisation, you cannot use this permit category.
