Can I change employers on a General Employment Permit?

Because the permit is linked to a specific job and employer, you are generally expected to stay with your first employer for an initial period after the permit is granted. Exceptions exist for situations such as redundancy or unforeseen changes.

If you do move to a new employer, the new job must still be eligible and meet the salary and other conditions, and a new employment permit application is usually needed. You cannot simply switch jobs freely as you could with full residence permission.
