Managers and specialists can be granted up to three years; trainees up to one year. The permit can never run longer than your passport's validity.
The maximum duration depends on your role. Managers and specialists may be granted an ICT permit for up to three years, while trainees are limited to a maximum of one year.
Once you reach the maximum period for your category, you cannot simply renew it from inside Sweden. You generally have to leave the EU/EEA and apply for a new ICT permit before another transfer can begin.
