You can generally reunite your spouse or registered partner, dependent children under 18 (or adult children who cannot provide for themselves), and dependent parents over 65.
Spain's family reunification (reagrupacion familiar) covers your spouse or legally registered partner, your or your spouse's children under 18, and children of legal age who are dependent and unable to support themselves due to health or disability. Dependent ascendants (your or your spouse's parents) aged over 65 may also qualify when they depend on you financially.
Parents under 65 can be reunited only on an exceptional, humanitarian basis. Each family member is sponsored individually, and the relationship must be documented with official certificates (marriage, birth) that are legalised or apostilled and officially translated into Spanish.
