Do I need a job offer or LMIA to get a Bridging Open Work Permit?

The Bridging Open Work Permit is an open work permit, meaning it lets you work for almost any employer in Canada without a job offer or a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). It exists to 'bridge' the gap between your expiring employer-specific work permit and a decision on your permanent residence application. Note that even though it is open, certain conditions (such as no work in jobs related to the sex industry) still apply, and if your PR application is under a Provincial Nominee Program your nomination must not restrict the employer or occupation.
