Healthcare cover depends on how long you will be in Sweden. For stays under one year, you need comprehensive health insurance valid in Sweden covering urgent and other medical care, hospitalisation, emergency dental care, and medical repatriation.

For permits longer than one year, you can register in the Swedish population register, which gives access to the public healthcare system on the same basis as residents.
