If I get a Polish permanent residence permit, can my spouse and children get it automatically?

Permanent residence in Poland is granted to an individual based on their own circumstances. Holding the status does not automatically extend it to your spouse, partner or children. In practice, your family members would usually first apply for temporary residence, often through family reunification, and live in Poland on that basis.

Over time, a spouse or child may build up the residence needed to apply for their own permanent residence, or a child born after you obtained the status may qualify under specific rules. Plan family applications separately rather than assuming they follow yours.
