Family reunification rules are more favourable for researchers than for many other categories. Your spouse and dependent children can apply to join you, and they are not held to the standard waiting period before reunification that applies under ordinary work permits.

Family members receive their own residence permits linked to your status. Their right to work follows the rules for their specific permit, so check those conditions separately if your spouse intends to take a job.
