A PGWP can be valid from eight months up to three years. Programs of two years or longer can qualify for the maximum three years, while shorter programs of at least eight months usually get a permit matching the program length.
The length of your PGWP is linked to the length of the study program you completed. To qualify at all, the program must have been at least eight months long. For programs that are at least eight months but under two years, the permit is generally issued for a length similar to the program.
