Losing employment does not mean immediate departure. If your job ends while you hold the Highly Skilled Migrant permit, you normally have a job-search period of up to three months to find a new qualifying employer.
If you have held the permit for two years or longer, this search period is extended to up to six months. During this time you must find a role with a recognised sponsor that meets the salary criteria, so start your search quickly and keep evidence of your efforts.
