The pilot is open to citizens of designated French-speaking countries that are members of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie in Africa, the Middle East and the Americas.
The Francophone Minority Communities Student Pilot is not open to everyone. You must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries set by IRCC, which include nations such as Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Lebanon, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo and Tunisia, among others.
The full list can change over the life of a pilot, so always confirm your country is currently named on the official IRCC page before you apply. If your country is not on the list, you would need to apply through the regular study permit stream instead.
