What kind of job offer do I need to qualify for a Critical Skills permit?

Eligibility starts with the role itself. The occupation must be one that qualifies for the Critical Skills route, generally drawn from recognised in-demand occupations, and the salary must meet the applicable threshold for that category.

The job offer normally has to be for a duration of at least two years from an employer trading in Ireland. Lower-paid or short-term offers, or roles that are not on the eligible list, would instead need to be considered under a different permit type such as the General Employment Permit.
