Can I change employers or take a second job on a Health and Care Worker visa?

Your visa is sponsored for a specific job with a specific employer. You can do certain additional work, such as a second job in an eligible occupation up to a set number of hours, and you can do unpaid voluntary work, but your main role must remain with your sponsor.

If you want to move to a different employer, you usually need a new certificate of sponsorship from the new employer and to apply to update your visa before you start. Do not begin work with a new sponsor until your change of employment has been approved.
