Submitting an H&C application does not pause an existing removal order. If you are under a removal order you must still leave Canada on or before the date stated on it, even with an H&C application pending.
Many applicants wrongly assume H&C buys time against deportation. It does not, so if removal is imminent you should get qualified advice immediately rather than relying on the H&C filing to keep you in the country.
