Latvia's digital nomad long-stay visa is designed for people whose work is tied to an employer or business based in an OECD country, carried out remotely while physically in Latvia. The official guidance is clear that holders do not have the right to employment in the Republic of Latvia.

That means you cannot sign on with a local Latvian employer or provide services to the Latvian market under this visa. If your plan is to work for a Latvian company, you would need a different status such as an employment residence permit instead.
