It is issued for a maximum of two years at a time and can be repeatedly extended in two-year increments as long as you keep meeting the conditions.
The Czech long-term residence permit for business is granted for up to two years. It is not a one-off permit: you can extend it repeatedly, with each extension again valid for a maximum of two years, provided your business activity and the other requirements remain in place.
Extension applications are accepted starting well before expiry (the system allows you to apply up to 120 days ahead), and processing of an extension is generally targeted at around 60 days. Because the permit must stay continuous to protect future permanent-residence eligibility, apply for the extension in good time rather than waiting until the last moment. Always check the current timelines against the official source.
