Can children born or arriving later be added to my family reunification residence in Slovakia?

Family reunification is designed to keep close family together, so dependent minor children can be brought to Slovakia on this basis, including children who join later. Each child has their own application supported by proof of the relationship, such as a birth certificate.

As with a spouse, the children's residence is linked to the sponsoring parent's valid residence and is granted for a period aligned with it, up to the maximum allowed. Apply with the standard relationship, accommodation and financial-coverage documents, properly translated, and keep the sponsor's residence current so the children's status is protected.
