This route grants EU long-term resident status to third-country nationals who have completed five years of continuous legal residence in Cyprus with a valid permit throughout. It is a more secure status than an ordinary permit and offers stronger protection against expulsion.

To qualify you generally need stable, regular income and suitable accommodation, adequate health insurance, and a clean criminal record. Cyprus also requires basic Greek at A2 level along with knowledge of Cypriot society. An indicative application fee of EUR 30 applies, which you should confirm as current.
