You must make a qualifying investment of at least EUR 300,000 in one of the approved categories: new residential property, the share capital of a Cyprus company with real physical presence and staff, or units of a Cyprus-regulated investment fund.
Cyprus Permanent Residence under Regulation 6(2), often called Category 6.2, is built around a qualifying investment of at least EUR 300,000 (plus VAT where applicable). The most commonly used route is the purchase of new residential property, but the policy also recognises investment in the share capital of a Cyprus company that has a genuine physical presence in Cyprus and employs staff, or investment in units of a Cyprus-regulated collective investment fund (AIF, AIFLNP or RAIF).
The investment must be maintained for as long as you hold the permit, and the funds must demonstrably originate from abroad. Because the eligible categories and thresholds are set by the Civil Registry and Migration Department and can change, confirm the current list and amounts against the official source before committing any funds.
