A non-EU sponsor with lawful residence in Greece can generally bring a spouse aged 18 or over and unmarried minor children in their custody.
The family reunification permit lets a legally resident non-EU national bring close family to live with them. Eligible members usually include a spouse who is at least 18 (the marriage must be monogamous) and unmarried minor children, including adopted children, for whom the sponsor has custody.
The sponsor normally needs a qualifying period of prior lawful residence in Greece before applying. Wider family members are only admissible in limited, specifically defined circumstances.
