Yes. Spouses and minor children can join you, and spouses of skilled workers and Blue Card holders are exempt from the usual pre-entry German requirement and may work without restriction.
Family reunification (§§27–36a Residence Act) lets a sponsor with a valid German residence permit bring a spouse and minor children. Spouses normally must show basic German (A1) before entry, but spouses of skilled workers, Blue Card holders, settlement-permit holders and EU long-term residents are exempt. The 2024 reform also waived proof of adequate living space for skilled workers and Blue Card holders, and lets workers with a first permit issued from March 2024 bring parents in some cases. Once in Germany, family members generally receive full work authorisation. Always confirm current conditions with the relevant German mission or Foreigners' Authority.
