Like other Temporary Work routes, the Charity Worker visa is sponsored. Before you apply, a licensed sponsoring charity must issue you a certificate of sponsorship (CoS) with details of the voluntary role.
The voluntary work must be connected to the sponsor's charitable activities. Without a valid CoS from a licensed sponsor, you cannot apply, so securing the placement and sponsorship comes first.
