As a temporary worker, you must be able to support yourself and any dependants without relying on public funds. Claiming benefits you are not entitled to can breach your visa conditions and harm future applications.
You will also normally pay the immigration health surcharge as part of your application, which gives you access to NHS healthcare during your stay. Make sure you understand which services are covered so you are not caught out by costs that fall outside the surcharge.
