No more than 12 months total outside Australia in the 4 years before applying, and no more than 90 days in the final 12 months.
Under the general residence requirement, your absences from Australia are capped. You generally cannot have been outside Australia for more than 12 months in total across the 4 years immediately before applying.
In addition, you cannot have been absent for more than 90 days in the 12 months immediately before you apply. If your travel exceeds these limits, you may need to wait until you again meet the residence requirement before applying.
