A profession appears on the Positive List only when there is a documented regional or national shortage of qualified people for it; the list is updated twice a year, so you should check that your exact job title is listed at the time you apply.
The Positive List is a live shortage list rather than a fixed catalogue of occupations. Job titles are added based on labour-market shortage assessments and removed when the shortage eases.
Because it changes, the version that matters is the one in force on the date you apply. A profession that was listed last year may not be listed now, so confirming the current list before applying is essential to qualifying under this scheme.
