Your permit is tied to the programme and institution you were admitted to; a substantive change generally requires a new application and approval.
Your residence permit is granted on the basis of admission to a specific accredited higher-education programme at a specific institution. The institution must be publicly accredited or have a board member appointed by the relevant ministry. If you change to a different programme or institution, that is a material change to the basis of your permit and normally requires applying again so SIRI can reassess eligibility. Continuing to study under conditions that no longer match your permit risks non-compliance.
