How can I check whether a school is a Designated Learning Institution?

Canada publishes an official list of Designated Learning Institutions, and you should confirm any school appears on it before paying tuition or applying for a study permit.

Each listed institution has a DLI number, which you will need for your study permit application. Checking the list protects you from enrolling at a school whose acceptance cannot support a study permit, and helps you confirm the institution type, which can later affect your work permit options.
