Children under 16 cannot work; those aged 16 or over may work part-time up to 10 hours a week in term time and full-time in holidays.

Once a child is 16 or over, they may take limited part-time work — up to 10 hours per week during term time — and may work full-time during school holidays, as well as do course-related placements within set limits. The visa does not allow self-employment, professional sport, or work as an entertainer.
