The Public Benefit Option is designed to let the whole family obtain citizenship together. Eligible dependents typically include a spouse, children under 18, unmarried financially dependent children up to a higher age limit, disabled adult children needing full support, and dependent parents or grandparents above a set age.
Each added dependent carries an extra cost on top of the base contribution, and dependents above a certain age also undergo their own due-diligence checks. Including family in the original application is generally simpler than adding them later, so plan the household scope up front.
