You qualify for a second visa by completing 3 months of specified work in regional Australia on your first, and a third visa by completing 6 months of specified work on your second.
The program rewards regional work with the chance to extend your stay. To be eligible for a second subclass 462, you must complete three months (at least 88 calendar days) of specified work in designated regional areas while on your first visa.
For a third visa, you must complete six months (at least 176 calendar days) of specified work while holding the second visa. Specified work is limited to particular industries and regions; general office, metropolitan construction, and hospitality in non-eligible locations usually do not count. Keep payslips and employer evidence to prove the work.
