The first permit is granted for up to two years. It can then be extended for up to three years at a time, provided you apply before it expires.
An initial Start-up Denmark permit is issued for up to two years. If your business is progressing as planned, you can apply to extend it for up to three years at a time. Apply for the extension before your current permit expires; doing so generally lets you keep living and working in Denmark while SIRI processes the renewal. Letting the permit lapse before applying can interrupt your legal stay.
