This residence permit is for non-EU nationals running a trade licence (živnostenské oprávnění), working as a sole trader, or acting as the statutory representative of a Czech company. It suits freelancers, sole traders and company directors.
Long-Term Residence for Business is the route for third-country nationals who intend to carry out business activities in Czechia — as freelancers, sole traders or company directors. The starting point is registration in the Trade Licensing, Commercial or Liberal Profession Register, depending on your activity.
Beyond that registration, you generally need proof of financial means and comprehensive medical insurance, proof of accommodation in Czechia, and no outstanding debts to public authorities. Processing is listed at 60 days, with a CZK 2,500 administrative fee.
Requirements and fees can change, so confirm the current details on ipc.gov.cz before applying. If you are planning to set up as self-employed or run a Czech company, ACME can review your business setup against the permit's conditions and help prepare the paperwork.
