This permit is for non-EU students enrolled in full-time studies at a recognised Polish university. It allows study and, generally, work without a separate work permit.
Poland's Temporary Residence Permit for Studies is for international students from outside the EU who are enrolled in full-time studies at a recognised Polish higher-education institution. The starting point is your admission or enrolment certificate from that university.
Alongside that, you will normally need proof of sufficient funds for living costs, return travel and tuition, health insurance covering treatment in Poland, and proof of accommodation. The application is made to the voivode at the urząd wojewódzki. A practical benefit is that the permit generally lets you work without needing a separate work permit, which helps with supporting yourself during your studies.
If you are planning to stay on after graduating, it is worth thinking ahead about moving onto a work route such as the single permit. ACME can help you understand the funds and insurance evidence expected and plan that transition, and we recommend confirming the current requirements on the official government portals before applying.
