Finland offers an accelerated service for qualifying first work permits. To use it you apply through the Enter Finland online service, pay the fee at submission, verify your identity in person within a few working days, and (for employment permits) have your employer submit the employment terms quickly. You also request a D visa at the same time, which lets you travel to Finland as soon as the decision is made, without waiting for the physical permit card. Family members can fast-track their applications alongside yours. Fast-track is not guaranteed if the application is incomplete or further information is needed.
