A company shareholder must invest at least EUR 65,000 in the Estonian company; a large investor must make a permanent direct investment of at least EUR 1,000,000.
The required investment depends on your basis. A shareholder of a company generally needs to invest at least EUR 65,000 in that company's activities in Estonia. The 'large investor' category requires a permanent direct investment of at least EUR 1,000,000 into an Estonian company that invests in the economy, or into an investment fund that mainly invests in Estonian companies. The permit also covers sole proprietors and start-up entrepreneurs under their own conditions.
