You need a full-time, non-seasonal offer from a designated Atlantic employer; no LMIA is required, but the employer must first be designated by the province.
The AIP is employer-driven. Before anyone can hire you under the program, the employer must be designated by the provincial government of the Atlantic province where you would work. The job offer must be full-time and non-seasonal, and it must match or exceed the skill level of the experience that qualified you (this skill-level match is waived for eligible Atlantic graduates).
The required duration depends on skill level: for a TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 job the offer must last at least one year from the time you become a permanent resident, while a TEER 4 job must be permanent with no set end date. A separate Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is not part of this program, which is one of its advantages.
