Is the Czech employee card tied to a specific employer and job?

The employee card is a combined work and residence permit that authorises you for a specific job position with a specific employer. It is not an open work permit that lets you take any job freely.

If you want to change employer, change position, or add another job, you must notify the Ministry of Interior. Depending on your situation, some changes require the Ministry's consent before you start. Working outside the terms of your card can jeopardise your status, so always report changes correctly and on time.
