Time spent legally working in Greece on an employment residence permit counts toward the five years of continuous lawful residence needed for EU long-term resident status.

At that point you must show stable income at least at the annual minimum wage, increased for each dependent, full family health coverage, and evidence of integration such as Greek language and cultural knowledge. The long-term permit is then issued for five years and is renewable.
