You can bring your spouse, who must be at least 18, and your minor (under 18) children, including certain stepchildren in defined situations.
Family reunification is limited to your closest family. That means your legally married spouse, who must be aged 18 or over, and your unmarried children under 18 with established filiation or legal adoption.
Stepchildren can be included in specific cases, such as when the other parent has died or been deprived of parental rights, or where you hold custody. Ages are assessed at the date you submit the application, so a child close to 18 should be filed without delay. Adult children, parents and other relatives are not covered by this procedure.
