Once invited, how do I apply for permanent residence under the Federal Skilled Trades Program?

The FSTP is managed through Express Entry. You begin by creating an online Express Entry profile, where you confirm your eligibility and enter the Comprehensive Ranking System pool. IRCC ranks candidates and issues invitations to apply in periodic draws.

If you receive an invitation to apply, you then submit a full permanent residence application, including supporting documents such as language results, proof of work experience, and your job offer or certificate of qualification. You must submit within the deadline stated in your invitation, so having documents ready in advance is important.
