The ICT permit is for managers, specialists and trainee employees being transferred within the same company group from outside the EU to Belgium for more than 90 days.
Belgium's Intra-Corporate Transferee (ICT) permit is reserved for three categories of staff being moved within a multinational group: managers, specialists and trainee employees. Your Belgian host entity and the company you currently work for outside the EU must belong to the same undertaking or group of companies.
Managers and specialists are generally expected to hold a higher education qualification, while trainee employees are expected to hold a university degree. Because the eligible roles and qualification levels are tightly defined, it is worth confirming which category your transfer falls under before the host company files the application.
